06-03-2011The Leading Committee has the pleasure to advice you that the website will be very soon in progress. We decided to improve some selected features in the coming weeks :
A) commentaries for the photos will be available to edit
B) queries in the database will be available for contributing members
C) the personal statistics will be there again
D) The edition of new passwords will be fixed
E) 6 other small mistakes will be fixed

A) The commentaries for the photos
The members would be able to add a commentary on the pictures that they send and the last 5 pictures sent by members would appear in a rolling appearance (one taking the place of the previous) somewhere in the homepage (between spotlight and birthdays, for example - the birthdays can show only the first ones with a "more" to decrease the length of this so often too long box).
It is not possible to create a photo album like it was possible on the previous website..One can add a profile picture but not a photo album.
B) The queries for the contributing members
Contributing members would be able to perform queries on the BIG's database. To start with, we could offer some standard queries:
- Display BIG's sorted on Energy points, maximum gradient, average gradient, length, difference of level, summit, etc
- Display members sorted on Age, Claims for a specific year, country, town, etc
The best would be that the members can sort like in Excel. Then they can choose from a dropdown box on what fields they want to sort 1st, 2nd, etc
C) Personal statistics
It has been added the rates of climbs per area but the rate of climb per year has been removed. In the previous website, it was a good indicator of the activity over the years.
D) The new passwords
The functionality that normally gives a new password to a member doesn't work. The member receives a message showing that it doesn't work.
E) Small topics elsewhere
a) It is no longer possible to edit or add the side and/or year of an allready claimed BIG.
b) When you go via "Settings" to "Edit your password" then on the page you see in the blue box "Edit your profile" instead of "Edit your password".
c) A new claim in the actual year istn't marked with a colour anymore.
d) Check on several fields if a user has registered before. E.g on name and email address for instance and if one of these match then do not allow the registration but generate a popup to contact the committee (president and secretary).
e) It would be nice to see which members have added me as a friend.
f) It would be nice to see which members are passive. I.e. have not claimed a BIG since 1 year, 2 years, 3 years, etc.
