VIENNESE ALPS

Here is a detailled plan for the Annual Official Meeting in Austria from 17-8 till 25-8-2019, and on page 2, a summary to publish on the BIG-Website.

 

Hotel-reservations are made for 12 participants: costs: circa € 250,- with breakfast but no dinner. The hotel in Wiener Neustadt is close to the train-station, so it can be reached from Graz when we travel back by train. End of the trip is flexible: Graz can be reached on Friday after the climb to Gaberlsattel and of course also on Saturday. The travel back to Wiener Neustadt will take 2,5 hour. A bike is allowed on the train but needs reservation.

 

In Semmering I have an option on 12 MTB (each € 25,-) to climb Sonnwendstein and Stuhleck. I try to arrange some MTB for Bürgeralm and Gleinalmsattel but these are optional climbs. A third option is Magdalensberg on Saterdayafternoon. It is too far to cycle but it can easily reached by car.

 

I will rent a mini-van if there are really 12 participants who share the costs. If we cannot find a driver of the car, we will do it ourselves, and change driver every day.

 

Registration before 1-2-2019 so I can make final bookings at the hotels. If there are more participants then 12, I try to book extra beds, but participants of the whole week have privilege to participants that do only a few days.

 

I sent this message wider than just to the interested cyclists so you can sent it to potentional other participants. Do not hesitate to make remarks on this document: probably it will make the plan even better!
