Routes and profiles improvements for BIG sides - UPDATE june 2019
28-03-2019June 2019 update : all "historic" sides of the BIG challenge have now been updated and corrected. Further remarks, corrections, modifications, ... can be submitted in the Notes panel of each BIG.
In the last years, a huge process has been lead to improve the routes and profiles associated with each side of the BIG (a side is a route proposed to climb a BIG : E, NW, SE, ...). This process includes defining the route with a public route tracing site like RideWithGPS, Openrunner, ... and extract the gpx file created, then use this file to draw the route on the BIG site and calculate the side's data : length, altitude, profile, timers, ...
Of course this process may not be error free, as routes are built from online maps and have not all been ridden by the people drawing it. Feel free to send any correction, addition, remark, ... when necessary by leaving a comment on the Notes page of the BIG in question.
