From the ford it's 2km or 1.5 miles of steeper road in open country to the top of the road below Esclusham Mountain. Beware - the ford is dangerous. the stone slabs are swippy. Walk through or use mountain bike. Many years ago I fell in here! This is a real challenge to stay on the road bike, especially on descent
