ITA-513 - Monte Cornaccione (Frontignano)

The starting point village Visso has still the signs of 2016 earthquake with destroyed houses and thousands of single family wood temporary houses where people still leave waiting for new houses. The road enters the Park of Monti Sibillini and reaches Ussita, a mountain resort in about 5 km. The tough part is the 7 km large road to Frontignano the ski resort under Monte Bove. The last part is a ring up to the park of the chair-lift Le Saliere. You take the road up to the mountain but at 1400 m you can not continue with a race bike on the gravel road. There is no sign post at the end of the asphalted road. A bit disappointing finish in the middle of nowhere. This was compensated by the superb road to Santuario di Macereto from Ussita passing through the pass of Arette (1113 m) and then Passo dei Fornaci (815 m).
