ITA-057 - Aquila di Giaveno (Alpe Colombino)

10 km starting from Giaveno (Turin) - the first 2 km are almost flat in a straight road.
After arrived in Ponte Pietra start the true climb of 8 km ca ; first 3 km at 5-6 % , than from Maddalena is very hard with average 9-10 % in many km (max slope 13 %).
Tarmac is very bumpy and cracky, descent must be done very carefully.
To the top a very old and "scary" building, and a sculpure of an eagle (aquila in italian) at the bottom of the park.
For this the place is called also Aquila ; infact all the plates along the road indicated Aquila (and not Alpe Colombino).

Popular climb (known also as Aquila) for local cyclists and from Turin at about 30 km. The first part is relatively easy about the last 5 km the gradient is mostly > 10%. Big building on top with restaurant.
