OFFICIAL MEETING 2020 IN BASK COUNTRY
28-10-201913 May: Climbing the BIGs: Puerto de Orduna and Puerto de Urkiola and moving to Alsasua where we stay 2 nights. Option: Alto de Azurki
14 May: Puerto de Urbasa and Puerto de Lizárraga. Options: Puerto de la Herrera and Alto de Hachueta.
15 May: Moving to St Jean Pied de Port (3 nights) and climbing the BIGs: Alto de Jaizkibel and Artzamendi
16 May: Col de Bagargui-Iraty and Orzanzurieta. BIG-DAY 2020 at 12AM on the top of Bagargui-Iraty.
17 May: Puerto de Larrau and Col St Martin
18 May: Return to Bilbao or directly at home
Options before the Official Meeting: surroundings of Logrono: from 5 to 8 May; Picos d`Europa from 8 to 13 May
Options after the Official Meeting: Picos d`Europa from 18 to 22 May
Of course this is possible and hotelreservations can be adjusted.
Every participant is responsible for his own transport, but of course mutual agreements can be made: for instance renting a mini-bus with 5 cyclists.
Our Meetings-Manager Christiaan Weytmans made a detailed stage-schedule: ask him and he will mail it to you.
He will also produce a roadbook with addresses, time-schedule and meeting-places.
Registration is simple: write a mail to Christiaan Weytmans (christiaan.weytmans@home.nl) as soon as possible but before 1 februari 2020.
He will ask you to pay for the hotels in advance: € 100,- to be payed before 1 march 2020.
The costs for food, drinks, and transport have to be payed by the participants themselves. In Congas de Onis and in Alsasua there is opportunity to cook your own meal.
