This is my last climbs of the 75 of Lombardia, did in a sunny and hot day of may 2022 ; start from Averara (Val Brembana-Bergamo) altitude 650 mt, nice village with a beautiful and cobbled medieval portico.
The climb itself can be divided in 2 parts, half and half almost.
1st part with average slope of 6,5 % with good tarmac, you pass through some nice villages ;
2nd part that begin after Cusio (mt 1100) , more difficult - average almost 10 % with max slope 13,5 % and tarmac often not so good.
I climbed in a friday so traffic=zero (means really zero !!), but in the weekend surely there will be cars that reach the Rifugio at the top (summer x walking - winter x skiing- both x polenta e other super-food )
In total from Averara 22 hairpins (one of the last of them - at 1630 mt - it is artificially built overhanging the mountain -see my photos) , road enough large, great peace and silence, and almost all the climb under the sun.
