Wonderful short climb ( km 2,8) that start from Bondo in Graubunden canton – Switzerland (near border with Italy – Chiavenna).
SOGLIO has been nominated one of the best village in Suisse.
And really is !!! the Italian impressionist painter Giovanni Segantini describes Soglio as the threshold of paradise" !
The average slope is around 11 % with bits at 16-18 %.
It starts with a long straight road along the side of the valley, then a few hairpin bends, to end at a hotel and a church on the sunny terrace of the mountain, with views of the 3000 meter peaks (stunning the view of famous Pizzo Badile)
Traffic almost zero (and as usual here in Suisse, you’ll cross many times the famous yellow bus)
Asphalt perfect ( you’ll see many black stripes ; are the way they fix the cracks and the holes, for a superb final result).
The village is all cobbled (possible with road bike) , worth absolutely a visit.
Seems to be on…another planet.
A last word = HEAVEN !!
