ITA-266 - Polsa di Brentonico

This 11,3 km climb is on a large road with perfect tarmac and low traffic, start from Brentonico, in Trento province.
After start there's a descent (ca 3 km) but a left bend on a bridge is the sign real climb begins here (for 8 km) and with the hardest stretch, gradient 10 %, reach Prada.
Then average gradient goes from 6 to 8%, so is a cycleable climb.
A few hairpin bends lead you to reach Polsa, where tarmac finish in a big square.
Superb views climbing on Brentonico, Rovereto and river Adige valley.
In 2013 Giro d'Italia had a stage here, a single-chrono, but with start in Mori and arrive at Polsa ; the hillclimb finished with the success of Vincenzo Nibali (20 km in 44 min with 28 km average speed !!!) , who also won the Giro that year.
In 1970 there was a stage with finish in Brentonico, with victory of the "Cannibal" Eddy Merckx.
Car park= big free park 100 mt before start climb, at the cross road (left Polsa - right Bocca del Creer, another Nat Ita).
