Climbed side (Big map black track) from Wentnor with the infamous km of Asterton bank.
A line of pain that start at the red phone box, across alert warning signs and a cattle grid (take speed for overtake it...)
U face with an unbelievable left bend at almost 25 % ,that lead u on the egde of the bank for almost 800 mt, without any sign of relents.
If a car should arrive, u are forced to put foot down (unless u cross car in the 2 passing places).
Tarmac is rough, almost gravel and with moss in the centre, so stand up is not an option...
The pain (or joy) finish after a right hard bend, that lead u on a little flat with on your side the gliding Club.
For reach top of Long Mynd now u have to pedal on this wonderful piece of mountain for 4,5 km, near a park on your left.
The road that descent on other side in Church Stretton is the famous Burway, where Chris Boardman won some British Hill races.
