4) THE MATERIAL

Let's analyze finally the material with the clothes, the trophees, the stickers, the reviews, the newsletters, the forum and the bankcounts. Those materials don't move very much. We end this summary with the stable section of our BIG-challenge.
1) Clothes
Xavier Dredemy (and his wife Marie) followed Bernard Giraudeau on the managing of the clothes. They edited a new blog, very fine and funny sometimes, with diaporamas of the clothes and of the members wearing clothes. New clothe in 2010, the pirat pants of the BIG-challenge (or knee pants) can now be ordered. And more, a present for Christmas, a rugsack of the challenge is offered free if you order one clothe at least. Those rugsacks hadn't the success expected for the 25th birthday but like a present, they will be useful.
2) Trophees
Thank to Pierre Chatel, for the first time, a medal, the one for the 500 bigs, has been given to a big-member. Wim Van Els received it during the UK meeting. The diplomas are sent every year in company of the review but we had a problem in the year 2010 with some delay of printing in march.
3) Stickers
Stand-by for the stickers. Ard Oostra asked new stickers and some members paid additional contributions for ordering those new stickers. We'er still waiting to have enough money left to begin the new installation on the road-signs. But well, some members asked not to put them really on the road-sign like it is badly done by plenty of associations in the Dolomites for example. It must be discrete. In another way, the website made an effort to locate more precisely the tops of the bigs in our superlist. Perhaps news about it in the year 2011.
4) Reviews
The machine works. With the general overview of the president for the edition and of the treasurer for the printing and the distribution; we can say that the fabulous long work of edition of Martin Kool, the quick printing of Etienne Mayeur and the "all along the year" distribution of Dominique Jacquemin are rolling. The 2010 review was a fabulous one. Let's hope that the 2011 one will be so !
5) Newsletters
We found a new team in the year 2010 for the threemonthly edited newsletters. A new team with new dutch and italian translators has been built around François Candau and the masterpiece of the newsletters, our secretary Helmuth Dekkers. Some managers think that the newsletters aren't mostly read by the members. We would like to have your feedback about them. Do you like them ? Is there something to change ? We will perhaps edit a poll about this question in the forum.
6) the forum
Well, 3000 messages, it's good enough, but more than 1000 among them are in the magyar topic. The magyar topic is the best topic in the forum with many hungarian members posting inside. We would like that the other countries work like that in their own language's topic, but it's very calm. The forum was also useful for the votes in the closed topics of the committee.
7) the bankcounts
Our ways of payment are much better now than before. The Paypal section, available in the page for the contributions, is an additional welcome help. It works good. The normal old bankcount, become alone now, but managed online by the leading committee, is a very good improvement too. The counts + and - are edited one time a year in the review. We have about 8% of contributors : it's a bad score, in relative value; but better in absolute value, according to our fixed costs. The main + and - are coming from the clothes and meetings'payments, normally always in balance.
Let's note before the conclusion, the arrival in our challenge of new VIPs in the year 2010 with Carlos Sastre(2525), Eduardo Chozas(2500), Christoph Fuhrbach(3000) and Steven Rooks (3250), who joined Kurt Van de Wouwer(500), Michael Boogerd(100), Jeannie Longo(1500), Maria Canins(2000), without forgetting Fausto - Peter Farazijn (2795).
At the end of this year, we're thinking deeply and sincerely to our friends, too quickly gone :
