LEJOG 3535 FINAL CANCELLATION

Unfortunately we have to finally cancel LEJOG 3535 indefinitely. When this was arranged 2 years ago there were 17 participants, 9 of them cycling the whole route and drivers available for 2 support cars. Everything was organized, all the accommodation was booked and everything was paid for by the participants, but the corona virus in the whole of Europe including Great Britain didn't give us a chance and because of the Corona pandemic it was especially frustrating.
Unfortunately this year the group of participants was primarily smaller, especially as both potential drivers of the support cars cancelled. Despite an extensive creative search, no reasonable alternative was found. The potential group of participants gradually decreased, so that in the end only a very small group remained, for which it made no sense to start with so few and no support.
Due to the lack of interest, this is a final cancellation, we will not try to realize this project in the current form again. One should never say ‘never’, but the last two years have changed a lot and created new facts. If someone feels called to do so, we are happy to provide the entire extensive preparatory work.
