Ascoli Piceno is a beautiful middle age town which is surrounded by mountains. The climb to M. Ascensione just starts in the town but in few minutes you are high in a quiet road. About 12 km nice and easy with views to M Ascensione (shape of a face) and in front to M Piselli. At about 700 m altitude, there is a crossroad: you can continue only on MTB.
