ITA-512 - Montefalcone Appennino

This village is located on the top of a cliff between the Aso and Tenna Valley. My starting point was Comunanza. I descended the valley floor of Aso for a few km and I took the first left road (SP 50) with a signpost to Montefalcone to leave the traffic. The road is very steep until Faveto. The view to the sandstone cliff is magnificent. The village is old with many abandoned houses. The panorama towards the Monti Sibillini and Laga is breathtaking. Unfortunately I missed the 3 km riidge road to Smerillo due to thunderstorm. I closed the ring with the nice SP 50 to Comunanza.
