ITA-198 - Passo Croce di Zone
REPETTI M A U R O - 12-03-2022:
Climbed in july 2020, double face climb (top 903 meters): a) 9,4 km of gentle slope of tarmac from the village at 192 mt altitude of Marone (average 6,5 % - max 10 %) -- with view on the Piramidi di Zone, a natural reserve with the presence of fairy chimneys, the result of the erosive force of water ;
b) the last 1,4 km of cobbled , very uneven and veryyyyyy steep (average slope 12,2 % and long pieces at 25 / 28 %) from end tarmac (727 mt) to top Passo Croce Zone at 903 mt altitude.
This last cobbled part need a lot of balance for go up, but is possible (with a bit of luck, there are full of potholes in the hardest part....a Mtv/Vtt young man descending the road, considered me a "mad" , climbing with a road bike.....ahah)
