UKD-260 - British Camp

REPETTI M A U R O - 25-01-2023:
The climb is situated in the marvelous Malvern Hills
(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Camp)
From Welland (east side - tot lenght 3.5 km) is a gentle slope for about 1,5 km; at Little Malvern Priory church the road steepens for about 400 mt., than there's a sharp left junction. At the top of the hill you can find a park and kiosk ( i parked car in a free place on left before top).
I suggest take gate on the left and go on gravel easy road to see the panorama, absolutely worth a visit !!
The diarist John Evelyns said that the view from the hill was "one of the godliest vistas in England".
To the top of hill British Camp, there is an Iron Age hill fort . The site is thought to date back before the Common Era and has been extended subsequently by a medieval castle. The extensive earthworks remain clearly visible today and determine the shape of the hill.
