From the south the middle section of the climb is a cobbled road. Although road cobbling is secure would recommend a wide tyre bike for the ascent, Can contue on down north side to climb cobbled Blake Hill then to Shibden Wall as a continuation, Shibden Wall is a severe cobbled road experience!
