ITA-032 - Campello Monti

20 km long climb from Omegna, the first 14 km are from 3 to 6 % average (seems easy, but if you push hard, they are not !) ;
the last 2 km have an average of 12 % with bit at 14-15 %, they will make you suffer.
Road not too much large until Forno (900 mt altitude) , then single lane until the top (not enough space for a car and a bike together), and also with bad tarmac. In April i found 3 spots of snow with a little passage for bike/walk.
The Walser village at 1300 mt was absolute empty, with all the houses and shops closed (only in the summer there's life here) ; it worth a visit carrying your bike on the shoulder and climb the stairs leading to the church.
Traffic = during low season = zero ; I can imagine heavy in the spring-summer weekends.
Car park = full of possibility in Omegna, also near start in Via Campagnola.

Endless climb from the shores of Lago d'Orta. Very easy until the view of Forno. The last 6 km are difficult and the anxiety may catch you the last 500 m. Lastly you see the Walser village in a scenic mountains
