CHE-243 - Castello di Sasso Corbaro
REPETTI M A U R O - 01-01-2024:
This 2,66 km long climb start in Bellinzona (Ticino, Suisse) ;
I climbed side from Via Ospedale, where you find the steepest 800 mt of all climb, with bit at 15 % ; then turn left for Sasso Corbaro, and from here climb goes from 6 to 11% - nice view on Bellinzona and surrounding mountains and valleys, visible also top of Maggiore Lake.
Tarmac good, road narrow after the first 600 mt, traffic very poor during week, but I suppose a mess of cars and people here in the warm weekends.
Castle is beautiful, there is also a restaurant indoors (with Swiss price ! ! ).
From top beautiful view of the other 2 castles of Bellinzona, Montebello, and further down, Castelgrande (all 3 with their defensive walls have been an UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2000).
Car park= I parked to the top and descending with bike.
