Alagna is a capital of mountain climbing. It is at the east foot of Monte Rosa. It is at the end of Valsesia which is long valley. The road is large with some traffic. The final part is nice. Alagna is a Walser village with important signs of their culture and traditions (tourism). The central square deserves a stop at one of the nice bar. The last 4 km are tough in a superb mountain place. In july 2022 there are road work in progress for a landslide but you can pass with caution
