ITA-094 - Castellania Coppi

Climbed Castellania Coppi in march 2022 from both sides. The top is where lie the graves of Fausto Coppi and his brother Serse, just after you can see his statue with a giant pink bicycle, and a wall (on the left) with the two cyclist painted .
Both side are very nice and gentle in the middle of wineyards, and with a silence and absence of traffic, that you think you've gone back in time by years.
The village of Castellania (very small) will show you in every corner photographs , memories and memorabilia of Fausto Coppi.
At 7 km from Villalvernia (start of west side of the climb) there is the village of Cassano Spinola, where u can find at the local cemetery the monument of the other campionissimo, Costante Girardengo.
