It's not obvious where the road starts as it's narrow and hidden at the start. Over the River Calder bridge it's an immediate left then an immediate right turn and the road name 'Moor Lane' is indicated to the left of the road. The way up is extremely steep from the start but fortunately it's tree covered for most of the way. Just past a mast and a road to the left the top is reached at a farm gate to the right of the road - no other marking. An alternative way down is the narrower road passed after the mast. Great views across to Pendle Hill
