San Giacomo/Monte Piselli is a great climb. Long, difficult, beautiful. To be done! Made in two occasions by Giro. The road is large, and scenic, with hairpins in the first part. The border with Abruzzo is hust before San Giacomo a mountain village at 1090 m located in a col. It is part of the National park of Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga. Mone Piselli is a ski resort. 1 km above San Giacomo the paved road ends becomes a large dirty road. Gravel would be best due to little stones. Great views on the last part including the Adriatic sea
