I climbed this Nat from Cabella Ligure (AL) the day of Easter 17 april 2022, with a sunny day with some strong wind.
The first 10 km are gently (6-7 %) until you reach the village of Montaldo di Cosola.
Then the road goes up to 9-10 % for 7 km until the Passo Cosola at 1500 mt of altitude.
Follow 2,5 km of descent until Passo Giovà (1368 mt) , where u turn right in a narrow road and pedal for 3 km in almost flat for reach the cross of the last 2 TERRIBLE km for the top.
There is a gate before the last 2 km, you have to lift up your bike and.......(after 22 km in the legs) attack these last 2 km of madness (and like I said strong wind - that did not helped) with a 12% average slope and maximum of 25 % , before with some hairpins , then with a straight part to the Radar Ball to the top.
The tarmac is typical of the Apennines, so not so good, very uneven and with potholes.
The last 2 km are a private road but cyclists and walkers can go up to the radar, where there is a fantastic view at 360° .
