Hereby more information about the Annual BIG-Meeting 2024 in Cyprus which will be happening from 3th of March (day 0) till 10th of March (day 7).

it is a mix of climbing from the hotel (day 1 and 4); BIG-hunting (day 2 and 6), and All-by-bike-tours (day 3 and 5). Only on the BIG-hunting-days there is a fixed program because of transport-issues. The other days you can easily decide to do more cycling (for instance some virgin Natascha`s which are quite near our hotels) or to do less cycling: it is up to you!

I am in touch by mail with Matthias who has a bikeshop in Kalavasos. He will provide us with: roadbikes (see the attached foto of this fantastic Eddy Merckx EM1 full carbon roadbike with 11 gears). So I prefer you rent a bike at Matthias Bike Corner. We will communicate the size of the bike if you have decided to join the Meeting. Ofcourse you can bring your own bike: this lowers the trip-price with € 120,- transport of bikes, luggage and cyclists; Matthias will transport the bikes while we use a minibus. hotels with half-board: breakfast and dinner in the hotel.

So you only have to take care of some food and drinks during the climbs.

We stay the first 3 nights in hotel Cyprus Villages in Tochni, quit near to Kalavasos. Then we move to Pine View Hotel in Saittas where we stay 2 nights. The last 2 nights we stay in Nicosia in Castelli Hotel. In my opinion these are very nice and luxurious hotels, some with wellness facilities like a swimming pool. On day 0 we need transport from Airport Larnaka to Kalavasos. I will make a planning because Matthias can collect us at the airport. If you do not want to wait after your arrival, you can arrange your own transport. On day 6 we pass the border with Northern Cyprus which is occupied by Turkey. We will do that by bike to avoid waiting-time at the barrier.

Of course you need your passport or ID-card. Transport will be done by a rental bus from Northern Cyprus.
