REPETTI M A U R O - 02-01-2024:
A 10,5 Km long climb with 1000 mt of drop and average -max of 9,6 – 15,6 % , a true killer climb ; dont forget last 3,5 km are GRAVEL (possible with road bike) but with high % of slope.
Obermutten is a small Walser village nestled in the rural isolation of the Graubünden mountains at 1863 m above sea.
The village itself, with its characteristic wooden houses and the former larch wood church from 1718 (highest wooden church in Switzerland), with painted organ, is a real gem.

The start is from the famous viaduct of Solis (Rhaetian Railway) at altitude of 836 mt.
Traffic very poor, lots of hairpins with superb tarmac, and as I said, last 3,5 km gravel.
In the middle you will ride a 1,3 km tunnel (cold !) almost flat, with superb lighting.
Car park = near Solis Viaduct at the climb start.

NILSON Jerry - 01-01-2024:
The old road should really be included as an alternative as it is the mythical one up here. The way to climb up here, if you enjoy tough climbs (they have improved this road with concrete for a longer stretch than earlier) – see gpx file:
