ITA-178 - Santuario del Monte Altino (incl. Colle del Gallo)

This climb - from Casazza - is not very hard, av gradient ca 5% (max 10%) , it is a very popular among cyclists from the Bergamo area and a training ground for champions such Gimondi, Gotti, Savoldelli...; both the Giro Italia and the Lombardia passed here.
Climb pedalable almost all year round, as it tops at 825 m.
At Colle Gallo there is a cycling sanctuary with an adjoining museum with many gems ; here turn right for Santuario Altino (beautiful building and great view)
Large road until Colle Gallo (then it becomes narrow x the last 3 kms until Altino) , not too much traffic.
Car park= not a prob find one in Casazza (or both Colle Gallo or at the top).
