UKD-312 - Dragon Hill (White Horse)

REPETTI M A U R O - 25-01-2023:
Black track from Uffington climbs from the village to the chalk White Horse on the hillside.
Crossing the B4507, you head up in a beautiful road and the climb is steep just with a cattle grid at more than 10 %.
The climb goes straight up before a right-hand turn and then decreases near top.
Traffic usually quiet during the week, but I think in the weekends the single track road could be busy with cars and pedestrians cos is a popular tourist venue.
Tarmac very good.
On your left lies Uffington White Horse, a prehistoric figure 110 m long, formed from deep trenches filled with white chalk (it is not visible from the climb, you can see it from the top or by walking a footpath that's indicated)

https://www.strava.com/activities/5808326967 Up through Woolton, over the back up the other side. The easterly side is by far the best way up for views as it's through open country whereas the westerly side is treelined. unfortunate that the chalk horse can't be seen from the road but only by walking a footpath that's indicated
