Dangerous road!
If you planning to climb this BIG from Ax-les-Thermes think twice because of a heavy traffic. This is a national “highway” where average speed is 80/90km/h and everyone is keeping it. There is a road part where speed limit is 110km/h and drivers enjoying it. Expect to have big tracks on the road as well without no space where you can go to the right. I was not sure do cyclists allowed to be on this road but I haven’t seen a sign forbidding that. 10km from the top the speed limit is reduced but expect to be blocked in a traffic jam because of the border control.
