ITA-054 - Monte Fraiteve (Sestriere)

Sestriere is a legendary place for cycling. The top above the ski resort was selected based on a idea to bring Giro here. It remained only idea not even a project. From the middle station of the cabin-lift, the climb is unfeasible due to several segments > 25% in a dirty road. This is a bike park for downhill with several black and red tracks (as in ski). The other the side side via Colle Basset give good chances to cycle up to the top. There is only one steep stretch. The place is very nice. Both the segments from Cesana via Saulx di Cesana (old road) and direct new road (more panoramic) are nice.
